Keeping the crafts and fashion industry alive at the meeting place of journalism and commerce.

Traditional Indian crafts are disappearing as globalisation sweeps away centuries-old skills and the livelihoods that depend on them. Journey of Objects is fighting back by creating the first marketplace that truly champions Indian craftspeople and gives them fair access to global markets.
Traditions under threat
Over the last decade, the crafts industry in India has been slowly declining. Livelihoods and traditions have been continually at risk with the rapid rate of globalisation. Through journalism, fashion, and advocating stories around craft, Journey of Objects aims to create the first Indian marketplace to champion the industry and set new standards of trade and support.
Building a fairer future for craft
With the marketplace live, our goal is to continually support livelihoods of crafts people, providing them a platform to showcase their work, establish designer profiles, gain exposure to wider markets through journalism and be fairly compensated through improved trade practices.
